With a population just over 2,000, the town of Spruce Pine NC is a hidden gem community in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.

Known for being the Gem and Mineral Capital of North America, Spruce Pine features numerous gem mines and mining companies with exciting and family friendly excursions to search for Crabtree emerald, Wiseman and Brushy Creek aquamarine, moonstones, garnet, citrine, amethyst, ruby, and sapphire.

Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Mitchell County, Spruce Pine NC offers endless outdoor activities, beautiful mountain vistas and easy access to the neighboring communities of Linville NC and Little Switzerland NC.
